Welcome to 18 Rock Creek Court located in beautiful Tamarack Resort!
We are so happy that you decided to stay here and we want to make sure that you enjoy your stay, so here is some information to help you with all the available amenities of the cottage.
SOME EXCITING NEWS FOR OUR GUESTS: We are in the middle of a major "refresh" of the cottage to make your future stays even more comfortable and enjoyable.
To date we have replaced all the wood flooring and carpeting in the cottage, we repainted the entire interior of the cottage and installed recessed lighting in the living room to brighten things up.
We are in the process of replacing all the furniture in the kitchen and living room; however, due to COVID-19 most of our furniture deliveries had significant delays and won't be delivered until August or September of 2021.
Our cottage offers high-speed internet access via our wireless network.
In order to connect to our wireless network please use the "WIFI" information provided in the welcome packet that you received when you checked in and obtained your key card(s).
If the wireless network is not working, or is working extremely slowly, please follow these steps:
Locate the wireless router located near the television in the living room
The router looks like a white disk
Unplug the cable from the back of the wireless router and wait 30 seconds
Reconnect the cable to the back of the wireless router
After a little while you will see activity from the circular indicator light located on top of the wireless router
Within two to three minutes the indicator light should be blue, indicating that it is working
If these steps do not resolve the problem, please call the Front Desk at (208) 325-1009, or by clicking "Lodging" on the resort phone next to the fire place
The telephone located next to the fireplace is a special "resort" telephone that gives you instant access to all the available amenities at Tamarack Resort.
NOTE: Please be aware that you are not able to make outbound calls outside of Tamarack Resort using the "resort" phone.
Please be aware that this cottage does not have air-conditioning, but luckily this is only an issue for a few weeks during the year. During this time the best way to keep the cottage cool is to open the windows and sliding doors in the evening to cool things down, and then in the morning shut all the doors, windows and close the blinds before it gets warm.
The cottage has one thermostat that is located at the base of the staircase, and it controls the heating system and the fan.
The temperature displayed on the left side of the display reflects the current temperature in the cottage.
The temperature displayed on the right side of the display reflects the target temperature.
The four "tabs" at the bottom of the display reflect additional information that you can read about below in the "nitty-gritty" details section.
The main controls are located on the right side of the thermostat
Press the "Hold" button to disable the temperature schedule
Press the "Up" button to increase the target temperature
Press the "Down" button to decrease the target temperature
The two big buttons located on the right hand side of the thermostat control the target temperature.
Pressing the "Up" button will increase the target temperature
Pressing the "Down" button will decrease the target temperature
The "Hold" button located on the right hand side of the thermostat bypasses the temperature schedule.
By default the temperature schedule is disabled and the target temperature is held indefinitely
If the temperature schedule is disabled then pressing the "Hold" button will not do anything
If the temperature schedule is active then pressing the "Hold" button will disable the temperature schedule and hold the thermostat at the target temperature indefinitely
The four small buttons located the bottom of the thermostat have multiple purposes, based on the menu that is displayed on the display
You should not have to press any of these buttons
The first button will normally "Cancel" the "Hold" mode, or allow you to configure the temperature schedule
There is no need to cancel the "Hold" mode or reconfigure the temperature schedule
The second button normally sets the "Fan" mode. (Desired mode is "Auto")
The third button normally sets the "System" mode. (Desired mode is "Heat")
Please remember that this cottage does not have A/C, so the "Cool" mode does not work.
The fourth button normally takes you to to the "More" menu. (There is no need to ever go to the "More" menu)
The fireplace is gas-powered so please do not attempt to burn wood or anything else.
The fireplace is controlled via a switch that is located on the wall above the mantel on the right side of the fireplace.
Please do not forget to turn off the fireplace when you have finished using it.
NOTE: In the event that the fireplace does not turn on, please call the front desk for assistance.
Do not try to light the pilot light or adjust the gas
Please turn off the fireplace before leaving the cottage
If you smell gas, leave immediately and call the front desk at (208) 325-1009
The cottage has a private hot tub located on the back deck.
Normally the hot tub is pre-heated prior to your arrival so that you don't have to wait for the unit to come up to temperature.
Lift the right section of the hot tub cover and flip it onto the left section and then move the cover out of the way by moving it to the left of the hot tub
The controls are located on the right-hand side of the hot tub
There are four control buttons:
Red "+" button increases the target temperature
Blue "-" button decreases the target temperature
The button with a "light" icon turns on/off the light in the hot tub
The last button controls the pump and the air jets ( Three modes: 1. Pump only -> 2. Pump and Jets -> 3. Off)
When the hot tub pump/jets are on they run on a timer, so simply use this button again if the timer runs out
When you are done using the hot tub please remember the following:
Please turn off the pump and the jets using the appropriate control button
Please turn off the light using the appropriate control button
Please replace the hot tub cover
NOTE: Please be aware that you can also use the hot tub located at The Lodge at Osprey Meadows (where you checked in). The Lodge provides towels, just be sure to bring your keycard and honor the posted times of operation.
